This year is going to be exciting from the point of view of eclipses. People in 2011 will witness not just one or two, but six eclipses. There will be four partial solar eclipses and two total lunar eclipses in 2011. The first eclipse will be seen on January 4, 2011. After it, the solar eclipses will be witnessed on June 1, July 1 and November 25 this year. These eclipses are very significant astrologically.
What is Partial Solar Eclipse?
When earth, Moon and Sun are placed in such a way that some portion of Sun seems to be covered by parts of Moon, it is called a partial solar eclipse.
Other Eclipses
The first total lunar eclipse will be seen on June 15, 2011. The earth will come between the Sun and the Moon, and the Moon will not appear in such a position as it will not get the light from Sun. The second total lunar eclipse will be witnessed on December 10, 2011. Four eclipses tool place during the last year.
