Importance Of The 2025 Chinese Calendar

In every religion, New Year starts on different days. For example, in Western culture, New Year is celebrated at 12 midnight on 31 December. In Sanatan Dharma, New Year occurs in the month of Chaitra i.e. in the month of April. In the Chinese community, the New Year is celebrated between 20 January and 20 February. As mentioned earlier, in the 2025 Chinese calendar, Chinese holidays and festivals are calculated based on the Moon.

Chinese Calendar Months And Their Meaning

Rat (1936, 1948, 1960, 1972, 1984, 1996, 2008, 2020, 2032): Rat is ambitious and honest. They are considered compatible with Dragons and Monkeys but least compatible with Horses.

Ox (1937, 1949, 1961, 1973, 1985, 1997, 2009, 2021, 2033): The Ox is considered to be bright, patient, and inspiring to others. This strong sign is happy on its own and is known to make excellent friends & partners. For better compatibility, look for the Snake or Rooster, but need to be careful with the Sheep.

Cheetah (1938, 1950, 1962, 1974, 1986, 1998, 2010, 2022, 2034): The tiger has a mix of qualities like aggressiveness, courage, outspokenness, and sensitivity at the same time. For better compatibility, look for a Horse or Dog, but beware of the mischievous Monkey.

Rabbit (1939, 1951, 1963, 1975, 1987, 1999, 2011, 2023, 2035): In the Chinese Calendar, it is the luckiest of all signs. The Rabbit is considered to be brilliant, articulate, and affectionate but shy. This clever Chinese zodiac sign looks for peace throughout life. It will have good compatibility with sheep or pigs but needs to be careful with chicken.

Dragon (1940, 1952, 1964, 1976, 1988, 2000, 2012, 2024, 2036): The Dragon is considered the most famous of the Chinese zodiac animals, which is strong and independent. They are a great leader yet they ask for support and reassurance from others. The Dragon has friendly relations with Monkey or Rat, but they are advised to avoid the Dog.

Snake (1941, 1953, 1965, 1977, 1989, 2001, 2013, 2025, 2037): Snake is considered an intelligent entity and has a strong inclination towards physical beauty. This Chinese zodiac sign has a fiery temper and can often look arrogant. To get happiness, they need to look for a chicken or a beauty for happiness. They need to avoid the boar.
