Chandra Grahan 2017 Dates: Lunar Eclipse

When the Moon comes in between the Sun and Earth, and the Earth’s shadow is casted on the moon making it partially or totally invisible is known as lunar eclipse. When the Moon is partially invisible, it is known as Partial Lunar Eclipse or Anshika Chandra Grahan. And when the Moon is totally invisible, it is said to be Total Lunar Eclipse or Purna Chandra Grahan.

• The Penumbral Lunar Eclipse is falling on the 11 February, 2017 and will start at 04:04:14 and will end at 08:23:25. It will be visible in the parts of Asia, North America, Africa, North America, South America, Pacific Ocean, Indian Ocean, Atlantic Ocean, Arctic, Europe, Antarctica.
• The second lunar eclipse of year 2017 will be seen on 7 August 2017. This eclipse will start at 10:44 pm and will end at 1:59 am. This eclipse will be observed in most parts of India, Europe, North America, Africa, Australia & East of Asia.
