Enigma of Rahu & Ketu (Part-3)

In this last and concluding part of the series on Rahu and Ketu, we will discuss some well known remedies mentioned in the Lal Kitab. These are some simple but very powerful remedies that can mitigate the ill effects of these planets.

Interestingly “Lal Kitab” says that when a person performs remedies for Ketu then his Rahu is also pacified. So, there is no need to perform two sets of remedies for these planets. Experience says that either of these two planets can cause ill effects so it is wise to deal with these planets separately.

The following are some of the remedies for Rahu:

• Donate raddish at a temple on Saturdays
• Offer milk to a cat on Saturdays
• Offer raddish to an elephant if possible
• Immerse raw coal in flowing water on Saturdays
• Avoid the use of tobacco
• Wear Gomed (Hessonite)
• Worship Lord Kaal Bhairav everyday

The following are some useful remedies for overcoming the ill effects caused by Ketu:

• Domesticate black complexioned dog
• Offer roti (chapati) to stray dogs
• Worship Lord Ganapati
• Wear kesar tilak every morning
• Offer pudding in a temple
• Wear cat’s eye gemstone

Remedies bear fruitful results only when followed religiously. Though Lal Kitab mentions a specific period (in number of days) for each remedy but it may not be possible for everyone to do that. It is advisable to follow these remedies with complete devotion. Prayer to the concerned planet/deity should follow the remedy to gain uninterrupted gain.
