The Vidyarambh Ceremony is considered an important rite among the sixteen rites. In Hinduism, a special puja ceremony is suggested for performing any ritual, so that a native can enjoy the benefits and sweet fruits of that ritual. On this note, let us tell you the whole method of performing Vidyarambh Sanskar rituals-
To perform the puja in this Sanskar, firstly the child/girl should bathe well and wear clean clothes. Along with the child, parents should also take bath and wear clean clothes. To begin the Vidyarambha Ceremony, venerate Lord Ganesha, who is entitled as the God of Wisdom and the deity who is worshipped foremost before beginning any important task or ceremony. Start reciting the mantra mentioned below while the child is handed Akshat, Roli and flowers, and offer them in front of the picture or statue of Lord Ganapati.
Now after this, invoke Maa Saraswati, who is hailed as the goddess of knowledge, and begin the Puja by reciting the mantra given below.
After worshiping Saraswati Mata, perform the Guru Puja. If for some reason your Guru is not present there, worship the coconut as a symbol of the Guru and read the mantra given below.
After this, to attain education through this sacrament, you should also worship some important items such as Pen, Ink Pot, Patti Or Board as per the rituals. While performing the first Patti Puja, make the child offer the materials of worship on the Patti or Board while reciting the mantra given below.
Now offer the Lekhni, something that is used to write; pen or pencil, in the hands of the boy/girl and ask the parents to help them write something on a copy or piece of paper while reciting the following mantra with devotion.
