The Secret of Luck Enhancement is "Muhurta"

Can we change our fortune or bring success in our endeavours by commencing a work at a suitably elected Muhurta? To some extent the answer is in the affirmative. Astrology believes that the fate of a person is predestined on the basis of his Karmas or deeds of the past life with a provision to rectify or modify the same to a limited extent within the scope of the planetary promises of the Birth Horoscope through good Karmas or deeds of the present life.

Muhurta signifies time and time is all-important in Astrology. Muhurta Horoscope is as important as that of your Birth Horoscope because commencing important events like marriage, starting education, joining a job, starting a business, etc points towards commencing/taking birth of an important event in one’s life and so is the important of Muhurta. Suppose, a person born with bad business luck or running a unfavourable period and if he starts a shop or business at an inauspicious Muhurta he is ought to meet with disastrous due to double negative factors, firstly one inherited by him from his Birth Horoscope and other taking birth from the Muhurta of starting the event. Similarly, Vastu Shastra and Numerology have the importance at their places and capable of giving positive result when efficiently put into use.

Some basic and important components of Muhurta are as follow: -

• Muhurta Horoscope
• Transit of planets
• Ashtakavarga
• Tara Shuddhi (in case of New Moon phase)
• Nakshtras with reference to Birth Constellation
• Tithis
• Day or Vaar
• Hora
• Yoga
• Karana etc.

The important consideration for electing a favourable Muhurta should be the Muhurta Lagna and disposition of planets in the Muhurta Horoscope, Muhurta Navamsha Horoscope as well as the Muhurta Divisional Chart concerned (i.e. Dashamsha for professional matters) matching with the intent for which the Muhurta is under consideration. Two unsullied benefic viz. Jupiter and Venus should not be combust in the Muhurta chart. A malefic planet should not also simultaneously occupy the Nakshtra occupied by Moon in the Muhurta Chart. The Karaka planet for a particular intent viz. Venus for marriage, Sun for Government service, etc. should be strong in the Muhurta Horoscope through exaltation or by directional strength, etc. The best feature of a Muhurta Chart is that the natural malefic planets should occupy the Upachaya Houses and natural benefic planets should occupy the Kendra/Trikone with reference to the Muhurta Lagna. The important planets like Jupiter and Venus if weak in Muhurta Horoscope should improve themselves in the Muhurta Navamsha Horoscope and in the divisional chart concerned. Normally, starting of an auspicious activity should be avoided during and within six months period of an eclipse. The Nakshtra occupied by Moon at the time of lunar eclipse and Nakshtra occupied by Sun at the time of solar eclipse should be avoided in election of Muhurta for all auspicious work for a period of atleast six months to one year. Now with this backdrop, I would analyse the promise of the Muhurta Horoscope (MH) of a nativity on the basis of his date, time and place of joining the Government service.

Birth Horoscope (BH) & Muhurta Horoscope (MH) in tabular format

• Day Monday (Moveable Day). He is in a transferable Government job.
• Karana Naga (unfavourable)
• Yoga Saubhagya (Lucky)
• Nakshtra Vishakha (Sampat / Wealth giving). It is shared by four benefics and one malefic and thus has edging benefit.
• Sun Hora (Favourable for Government job)
• Tithi Amavashya (New Moon – weak)

Analysis of Muhurta Horoscope

• Muhurta Lagna is under malefic influence.
• Sun, the significator planet of Government job is debilitated but debilitation annulled giving rise to Vipreet Rajyoga in 11th house of gain and expansion.
• Jupiter, Venus and Mercury are deeply combust and are matters of grave concern. Lagna Lord and 10th lord of Muhurta chart are deeply combust thus reducing the strength of the Muhurta Chart to a large extent.
• Saturn (2nd & 3rd lord) of Muhurta Horoscope and Yoga Karaka in Birth Horoscope is exalted is a positive factor.
• Majority of the planets in 11th house of the Muhurta Horoscope is a positive factor with atleast two good Yogas viz. Gajkesari and Budhaditya exist in 11th house. In fact, the native was in great penury (beggar like description) prior to joining the Government job.
• Lagna of Muhurta Horoscope is Vargottama, which is in positive side.
• In Muhurta Dashamsha Horoscope, the Lagna and 10th lord is in 10th house though in Paapkartari with three planets in 11th house though combust are also positive factors but within a limited strength.
• 10th lord Moon turning 8th lord in Muhurta Horoscope and in 11th house participating in Rajyoga indicates sudden and surprising turn of events mostly in positive side in professional matters.
• Dasha running at Muhurta Horoscope was of Jupiter (Muhurta Lagna & 4th lord) in 11th house was favourable. But, Jupiter was weak being combust.

Synopsis emerging from the Muhurta

ŠAn unhappy professional career with rise from time to time after initial denials. Not much favourable treatment from the seniors (Sun debilitated in the Muhurta Chart coupled with Jupiter & Venus combust) although a devoted worker (an uncombust Saturn exalted in Muhurta Chart in an Upachaya House).

Interesting Factors to be noted

This person could have got much more favour from the Government through his superiors (Sun is occupying Birth Chart in directional strength) and also could have got foreign posting/deputation during Mercury Mahadasha (Mercury being 9th & 12th lord in 10th house along with Sun participating in Budhaditya Yoga). But, he has enjoyed nothing as such because of the debilitation of Sun as 9th lord of luck in the Muhurta Horoscope as well as some more negative components in the Muhurta of joining the Government service. I asked this gentleman why he did not get a favourable Muhurta elected by an able astrologer for joining the Government service, he told me that he was not aware of all those astrological nitty-gritty at his early young age. Moreover, he was in extreme penury due to untimely death of his father.
